If you are looking to share your skills and put your talents to work, this is the place! Our staff rely on volunteers to do all the “extras” we are often too busy to do! Volunteer opportunities include:
· Cat/ Dog/Small Animal Care (socializing, walking, cleaning, etc.)
· Interior and Exterior Building Maintenance and Organization
· Children’s Programming Assistance for children’s camps and clubs
· Fundraising Helpers and Staff for Community Events
· Pet Pal Leaders
· Foster Care
· Tell us what you are good at and we’ll find a spot for you
THERE IS AN ENDLESS NEED FOR YOUR HELP HERE!
You are able to volunteer at GHS if you:
· Are over 16 years of age
· Can commit to a weekly or bi-weekly schedule
Under 16? Make a difference! Young people between 6-13 years of age can be part of our Junior Humane Club LinkClick.aspxor Pet Pals Program LinkClick.aspx. If you are between 14-16 years of age, you are welcome to assist staff with children’s programming by teaching kids in our camps and clubs about correct animal care and handling.
Please fill out a volunteer application form. After it is processed, you will need to complete a general orientation and cat training (1 ½ hours) as well as a dog training (1 hour). Total training time is 2½ hours. Click here for an applicationPortals/0/Volunteer Application 2009.doc
